Patrick will be raised by ARCTUROS

The health of the orphan bear who was found in Vrondero, Florina, just a few days ago, is getting a lot better.
The little bear lost its mommy bear just a few weeks after being born, at an age where it is impossible for one bear to survive on its own. However, he really responds to the care he is being given by ARCTUROS. He has already regained his powers and is willingly eating all of his milk.

The little bear has a name as well. He was named "Patrick" as he was found in the 17th of March, when in many countries Saint Patrick's day is celebrated.
Patrick's care will continue in the next months under the surveillance of ARCTUROS' scientific team and of the Department of Veterinary Science of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, the same way it happened in the two previous cases of Zoe and Nikita in Greece. Patrick's release is being scheduled for the beginning of 2016.

In the meantime, ARCTUROS takes care of two very severely injured bears. One is Giorgakis, who was found in Metsovo, and the other one is the bear that was found in Vrondero just a few days after Patrick. Both bears have been shot in the head and need to be taken care of for enough time.

ARCTUROS is putting every effort so that these bears will return to nature as well, however, for the time being it is unknown whether they will recover in a degree that will allow their safe reintegration.
